Worshiping in Spirit and Truth

John's gospel records Jesus teaching about worship in chapter 4 , "23...true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." At Clearview we are pursuing God through prayer, scripture and praise and worship of our Lord. It's more than a pursuit of a good feeling having been together and having sung the right songs, it is running after God with our all - heart, mind, soul and strength. This definitely includes singing God-honoring songs but the main thing is responding to His Truth with all that we are, our spirit to His Spirit.  We are encouraged by the psalmist to sing a new song to the Lord, but not necessarily just sing songs that are recently created, but sing all worship songs from our new heart, as a reaction of our spirit to His Spirit and Truth. If you are looking for a church to invest your worship, your gifts and talents, please join us any time. We will embrace you, minister to you and offer you opportunities to serve and be blessed as we all pursue God together.

  • What Do We Sing?

We sing worship songs from many generations not only because we are a multi-generational church, but also because our faith reaches across the millennia with a vital heritage of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.  Worshiping is not a monologue; it calls on all our voices and we should hear from the Lord through His Word. Do not miss your opportunity to join in and honor God with music and praise.

  • Songs for the Season

Speak to or email Klint, our worship leader, if you would like to subscribe to worship music that we will sing and play together in the coming weeks and months during worship services. He can ensure you have access to listen on-line or provide you with a CD of worship songs.

  • Ministry through Music

Worship Choir: Please join our worship choir as we pursue songs and capture them into our hearts so that we can lead enthusiastically in Sunday worship hours. We rehearse on Wednesdays beginning at 6:30 p.m. and we sing in all Sunday 10 a.m. worship services.  Go here to see more about service opportunities

We also include solo and ensemble ministries during our service. Scripture reading in response is a regular part of our worship music sets. We must keep our worship centered on God's Word and focused on enabling congregants to meet God with Adoration, Praise, Testimony and Confession and Hearing God's Word with a spirit of transparency that depicts our reality rather than any "sanctified pretense!" ~ Worship in Spirit and in Truth!
